Chart 10165b Charles Vinson Brownlee The following looks like it is the person often identified as Charles Vinson Brownlee. I had not previously seen documentation of his death date and location. 1/16/1885 (Friday 16 January 1885) Columbus (GA) Enquirer Sun, p. 3 Vincent Brownlee, an old citizen of Gwinnett county, dropped dead in the public road last Saturday (10 January 1885). He was walking along with William Cowan and George Jackson and gradually dropped behind. When near the Massey place he asked the boys not to walk so fast, as he could not keep up. Hearing a noise they looked back, and he had fallen and was lying on his back in the road. They went to him, but found him dying. No inquest was held.
